Royal will provide medical services for Earthquakes and Bay FC home matches and other events at PayPal Park.

Before the gates open at PayPal Park, the medical operation is already moving. Radios are checked. Equipment is staged. Crews walk the venue and prepare for the moments most fans will never see.

Starting this season, those crews wear Royal.

We are proud to announce a new partnership as the official EMS provider for the San Jose Earthquakes at PayPal Park. Royal is the exclusive medical provider for Earthquakes and Bay FC home matches and the preferred provider for other events at the stadium.

The Quakes and Bay FC join a growing roster of organizations and events that trust Royal with the medical operation behind the experience. Our teams support the San Jose Sharks and SAP Center, Cal Athletics, Stern Grove Festival, the San Francisco Marathon, and many other events each year. At Burning Man, Royal clinicians help operate a Nevada-licensed emergency healthcare facility with physician-level care, x-ray services, a laboratory, and a pharmacy in the middle of Black Rock City.

PayPal Park is the latest addition to that bench, and an important one. The partnership expands Royal's presence in Bay Area sports and brings our event medicine program into Major League Soccer.

"When players step onto the field, their safety becomes our responsibility," said Hasieb Lemar, president of Royal Ambulance. "Our on-field teams are there for every home match, ready to respond and make sound clinical decisions under pressure."

Royal began supporting PayPal Park in early 2026. Our work brings experienced clinical teams, ambulances, equipment, planning, and surge capabilities to Earthquakes and Bay FC home matches and other events held at the stadium. Dedicated on-field medical teams also support player safety during home matches.

Event medicine requires the depth to plan for a full venue and the judgment to care for one person at a time. Depending on the needs of the event, Royal can provide EMTs, paramedics, basic and advanced life support ambulances, critical-care clinicians, specialized mobile teams, and mobile field hospitals.

The operation depends on people who know the venue, understand their roles, and trust one another when the pace changes. Royal Event Medicine Supervisor Ian Kelley has helped build that kind of team by selecting clinicians who want to return to event work and learn the environment over time.

"I'd rather find people that I know are really interested in doing this stuff, because they're going to keep doing it," Kelley said in a recent Royal profile.

Repeat staffing gives crews the chance to learn the building, strengthen communication, and develop the judgment that comes from working together. For Kelley, leadership starts with understanding the work from the crew's point of view.

"It's hard to lead a position if you don't fully understand it," he said.

For Royal, serving the players, patrons and staff at PayPal Park reflects the company we have become and where we are headed. We built our name caring for patients and supporting healthcare partners across Northern California. Today, that same clinical depth supports major sports venues, festivals, endurance events, and one of the most demanding temporary cities in the world.

Now it supports match day at PayPal Park.

Most matches will be remembered for a goal, a save, or a late turn in the game. Our job begins before any of that happens, with a team in place and ready when the stadium comes alive.
